The Youth NTDs Fellowship Cohort 2 invites applications from young people aged 18 to 35 in Tanzania and Kenya interested in neglected tropical diseases, One Health, and advocacy. This 12-week hybrid programme offers expert mentorship and team-based capstone projects.

Overview
The Youth NTDs Fellowship Cohort 2 is a 12-week hybrid leadership and capacity-building programme designed to equip young people with practical knowledge, skills, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to neglected tropical disease (NTD) elimination efforts. Organized by the One Health Society (OHS) in Tanzania and the Global Alliance for NTDs Elimination (GANE) in Kenya, the fellowship connects participants with expert mentors and collaborative team-based capstone projects.
The curriculum focuses on several interconnected areas:
- One Health
- NTD Elimination
- Community Engagement
- Advocacy
- Health Systems Integration
- Solution Development
Participants are expected to commit approximately 6 to 8 hours per week throughout the 12-week duration.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Aged between 18 and 35 years old.
- Reside in or originate from Tanzania or Kenya.
- Demonstrate an interest or experience in neglected tropical diseases, One Health, public health, community engagement, health advocacy, health systems, or related fields.
The organizers particularly encourage applications from young people from NTD-endemic communities, individuals with lived experience of NTDs, people with disabilities, women, and young community actors.
