Young CAS Grant 2027–2029 in Norway: NOK 750,000 Research Grant for Early-Career Researchers
The Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) in Oslo offers early-career researchers up to NOK 750,000 over two years to lead an international collaborative research project. Applications are open until 19 November 2026.

Overview
The Young CAS Grant is a collaborative initiative by the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, in cooperation with the Young Academy of Norway, running from August 2027 to June 2029. The programme aims to help early-career researchers build leadership experience by designing and leading an international research project rather than an individual fellowship.
For the 2027–2029 cycle, CAS will select two projects. Selected Principal Investigators receive funding, office facilities in Oslo, accommodation support, and administrative assistance.
Benefits
- Up to NOK 750,000 per selected project over the two-year period, divided into workshop funding and research-stay funding.
- Up to NOK 250,000 for organising three intensive workshops.
- Up to NOK 500,000 for a two-month residential research stay at CAS in Oslo.
- Office facilities, seminar rooms, IT and library services, and nearby accommodation for non-Oslo resident fellows.
