The Yale Digital Ethics Center (DEC) is hosting the inaugural Digital Ethics Center Symposium (DECS) 2026 at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Taking place on October 16, 2026, the international event serves as a platform for emerging researchers to showcase work exploring the ethical, legal, social, and governance implications (GELSI) of digital technologies.

Eligibility
Applications are open internationally to qualified candidates who meet specific criteria:
- Open to current PhD students and postdoctoral scholars.
- Submissions must consist of original work that is not formally published, currently under review elsewhere, or committed for publication.
- Preprints and working papers may be submitted, provided any publicly available preprint version is disclosed.
- Applicants may only make one submission as the first author, though they may appear as co-authors on additional submissions.
