Overview

The World Affairs Council Fellows Program 2026–2027 offers a unique professional development and networking opportunity for business and community leaders in the Greater Seattle area who want to deepen their understanding of international affairs and connect with influential leaders and experts. The year-long program brings together a small cohort of professionals from diverse sectors for substantive conversations about global issues and their relevance to the Seattle region. The schedule runs from September 2026 through June 2027.

Eligibility

The program is intended for business and community leaders in the Greater Seattle area who demonstrate current or future leadership potential and an interest in international affairs. Applicants are evaluated based on their community leadership, commitment to participating, interest in global affairs, and ability to contribute meaningfully to cohort discussions.

How to Apply

Applicants can submit their details through the official program page. The program fee is $2,600 for Fellows from the private sector and large nonprofits, and $2,000 for Fellows from small nonprofits and the public sector, with limited financial assistance potentially available.

Applications received after the priority deadline are considered on a rolling basis.
