The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates opportunities to gain professional experience in various fields related to WMO activities. Eligibility
- Open to students approaching the end of their studies, students requiring an internship to complete studies, and recent graduates.
- Recent graduates must be between 21 and 35 years of age.
- Applicants must have less than two years of relevant work experience.
- Candidates must hold a scholarship, be sponsored by a government/NGO, or be supported by an academic institution for the internship placement.
- Working knowledge of English is required; knowledge of a second UN language is desirable.
Benefits
- Geneva-based interns receive a stipend of CHF 1,500 per month.
- Remote interns receive a stipend of CHF 300 per month.
- Interns serving in regional offices receive a 10% Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) for 30 days per month.
- Interns earn 2.5 days of leave per month.
