Overview
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is offering a paid six-month internship based in Geneva, Switzerland, within the Division of Development Partnerships and Programme Delivery. Specifically situated in the Private Sector and Philanthropic Engagement Unit, the placement gives participants practical experience in international resource mobilization, due diligence, partner research, and high-level event coordination.
Selected interns will support the organization's engagement with non-state actors such as philanthropic foundations, private sector companies, and academic institutions, assisting with major platforms like the WMO Commons and the Open Consultative Platform.
Eligibility
- Education: Candidates must be pursuing or have recently completed Master's-level studies in fields such as international relations, international development, climate studies, business, economics, law, or related disciplines.
- Experience: No prior professional experience is required, allowing applicants to draw from academic projects, research, volunteering, or extracurricular activities.
- Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of French is advantageous.
- Age: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
