The World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) Healthy Ageing Unit offers a three-month paid internship based in Manila, Philippines. Running from September to December 2026, the position focuses on healthy ageing, caregiving, and long-term care research in the Western Pacific Region. Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, mapping country policies, drafting analytical briefs, and supporting key informant interviews.
Benefits
- Living allowance: Maximum estimated allowance of PHP 895.48 per day for local residents, or PHP 895.48 to PHP 2,183.8 per day depending on permanent residence status.

Eligibility
- Must have completed at least three years of full-time university studies in public health, nursing, medicine, or other relevant health or social sciences.
- Must be currently enrolled in a course of study leading to a formal qualification, or have graduated within the past six months.
- Possess core competencies including teamwork, effective communication, and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrate experience in literature reviews, desk-based research, and drafting analytical reports related to health systems, caregiving, or healthy ageing.
- Expert proficiency in English, with intermediate knowledge of a Western Pacific regional language considered an advantage.
