Overview
The United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) EAC Scholarship Programme offers fully funded Master’s scholarship opportunities to suitably qualified nationals of eligible East African Community (EAC) member states. Funded by KfW through the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA), the programme enables talented students to pursue postgraduate studies at USIU-Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. The scholarship runs for two years and covers three eligible Master’s programmes.

- A monthly living stipend of EUR 380.
- An arrival allowance of EUR 200.
- A lump-sum study materials allowance of EUR 650.
- A one-time study and research allowance of EUR 1,500.
- Medical insurance coverage for the duration of the scholarship.
- Coverage of applicable visa or entry pass fees for Kenya.
- Participation in at least one extracurricular event.
Eligibility
Applicants must be nationals of eligible East African Community (EAC) member states and satisfy the admission requirements for the designated Master’s programmes at USIU-Africa. Female applicants, persons with disabilities, and applicants from other disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
How to Apply
Applicants should download and complete the official application form, prepare all required supporting documents in English, and submit their completed application packages to the USIU-Africa Financial Aid Office located at the Freida Brown Building. Prospective candidates should also confirm that their intended course of study is one of the three eligible programmes covered under the scholarship call.
