USIU-Africa EAC Scholarship 2026: Fully Funded Master’s Scholarships in Kenya for EAC Students
The United States International University-Africa EAC Scholarship 2026 offers fully funded Master’s opportunities in Kenya for eligible East African Community nationals. Supported by KfW and the Inter-University Council for East Africa, the programme covers tuition, living stipends, and research costs.

Overview
The United States International University-Africa EAC Scholarship programme provides comprehensive financial support for qualified young professionals from eligible East African Community Partner States. Designed to strengthen human capital development, regional integration, and professional capacity, successful scholars pursue approved Master’s programmes at USIU-Africa in Kenya.
The scholarship duration is two years. Approved programmes under this call include:
- Master of Arts in Communication Studies
- Master of Science in Information Systems & Technology
- Master of Science in Management & Organizational Development
Benefits
- Full tuition fee coverage paid directly to the university.
- Monthly living stipend of EUR 380 for accommodation, meals, and local transport.
- One return economy-class air ticket between the scholar’s home country and Kenya.
- Arrival allowance of EUR 200.
- Study materials allowance of a lump-sum EUR 650.
- One-time study and research allowance of EUR 1,500.
- Medical insurance coverage for the duration of the scholarship.
- Support for applicable visa or entry fees into Kenya.
Eligibility
- Must be a citizen of an eligible EAC Partner State other than Kenya (including Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, United Republic of Tanzania, and Uganda).
- Must be under 35 years of age at the time of application.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division, Distinction, or equivalent.
- Must apply for and secure admission to one of the three eligible Master’s programmes at USIU-Africa.
- Applications from female candidates, persons with disabilities, and disadvantaged backgrounds are specifically encouraged.
How to Apply
Applicants must complete two distinct stages:
- Apply for Admission: Submit an application for admission to USIU-Africa for one of the three approved Master’s programmes and indicate your intention to apply for the EAC Scholarship.
- Complete Scholarship Application: Fill out and submit the online EAC Scholarship Application Form in English within the active application window.

Applications must be submitted by 10 September 2026 at 5:00 PM East African Time (EAT).
