University of Toronto Mastercard Foundation Doctor of Public Health Scholarship 2027–2028
The University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health offers fully funded Doctor of Public Health scholarships in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation for emerging leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa. Selected scholars receive comprehensive financial support covering tuition, travel, living expenses, and academic materials.

Overview
The University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health, alongside the Mastercard Foundation, provides fully funded Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year. At least seven scholarships are available for emerging public health professionals from Sub-Saharan Africa who aim to drive systems transformation, policy development, and practice improvements in their home countries.

Eligibility
- Must be a citizen and current resident of a Sub-Saharan African country.
- Must have graduated from an Africa Health Collaborative partner university.
- Must not have already commenced doctoral-level graduate studies.
- Must demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership experience across undergraduate and master's studies.
- Must meet the academic and admission requirements of the University of Toronto’s Doctor of Public Health program.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to returning home for the last two years of the program to contribute to social and economic development in Africa.
