Overview
The University of Marburg invites applications for 10 paid doctoral researcher roles within DFG Research Training Group 3159, focusing on gender and gendering in contexts of international criminal law. Successful candidates will undertake independent PhD projects within an interdisciplinary academic environment hosted by the International Centre for War Crimes Trials at Philipps-Universität Marburg. Eligibility
- An above-average completed university degree equivalent to a Master’s, state examination, or comparable qualification.

- Demonstrated English proficiency at C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- A willingness to learn German, though German language skills are an advantage rather than an absolute prerequisite.
- Prior knowledge in international law, international criminal law, transitional justice, or gender studies is advantageous.
- Strong team spirit, commitment to academic excellence, and the capacity for independent scientific research with on-site participation in Marburg.
