Overview

The University of Leicester Chevening Scholarship is a collaborative award between the UK Government’s Chevening Programme and the University of Leicester. It supports two international students from Chevening-eligible countries in pursuing a one-year taught master’s degree starting in September 2027.

Eligibility

Citizenship in a Chevening-eligible country (excluding India)
An undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 or 2:2
At least two years of professional or voluntary work experience (approximately 2,800 hours)
An application to three distinct UK master’s programmes with at least one unconditional offer secured
A commitment to return to the home country for a minimum of two years following completion

How to Apply

Candidates must submit their applications through the official Chevening Scholarship portal. During the process, applicants need to choose the University of Leicester as one of their course selections, provide all necessary documents and essays, and complete references and an interview if shortlisted.
