Overview
The UNEP FI Climate Adaptation Internship 2026 gives students and recent graduates practical exposure to sustainable finance, climate adaptation, and financial-sector resilience. Hosted by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) in Geneva, Switzerland, with remote work possibilities, this six-month position supports the Climate Adaptation and Resilience programme by engaging with financial institutions to tackle climate risks.

Eligibility
- Applicants must currently be enrolled in a graduate programme (second university degree or higher), in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, or have completed a university degree and plan to start the internship within one year of graduation.
- The field of study must be closely related to the position, including economics, social sciences, natural sciences, environmental science, public policy, sustainable development, international relations, business administration, finance, or a related discipline.
- Must have fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of another official UN language is considered an advantage.
