UNDP & ISS Call for Papers 2026: Submit Your Research on Youth-Safe Digital Futures in Africa
The United Nations Development Programme and the Institute for Security Studies are inviting researchers and practitioners across Africa to submit analytical papers for a new policy compendium on youth-safe digital futures and responsible AI.

Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), has launched a Call for Papers titled "Youth-Safe Digital Futures: From Digital Inclusion to Responsible AI for Peace and Development in Africa." The initiative invites experts to contribute to an upcoming policy compendium focused on building safe, inclusive digital and AI-enabled ecosystems for young people across the continent.
Eligibility
Submissions are open to individuals and organizations with relevant expertise. Eligible contributors include:
- Researchers and academics
- Youth experts and youth-led organizations
- Civil society organizations and think tanks
- Technology policy specialists and digital rights advocates
- Peacebuilding practitioners and development professionals
Benefits
Selected contributors will help shape evidence-based recommendations, influence digital governance and AI policy, and contribute to a landmark publication that informs youth-focused development across Africa.
