UMS International Priority Scholarship 2027 in Indonesia | Fully Funded

Overview

The UMS International Priority Scholarship is provided by Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) in Central Java, Indonesia. It welcomes international students to apply for bachelor's, master's, or doctoral study opportunities across various faculties.

Benefits

The scholarship is available in both fully funded and partially funded schemes:

Fully Funded Benefits: Tuition fee waivers, a living allowance of IDR 1,750,000 per month, a books allowance of IDR 50,000 per month, health insurance, visa fees, a limited stay permit, return air flight tickets, and a free one-year Bahasa Indonesia (BIPA) class for regular class students.
Partially Funded Benefits: Tuition fee waivers, on-campus health services, and the BIPA course.

Scholarship durations are up to 8 semesters for bachelor's programmes, 4 semesters for master's programmes, and 6 semesters for doctoral programmes.

Eligibility

Open to international students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees.
Requires a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity from the application date.
Academic certificates and transcripts issued in English.
Recommendation letters from an educational or professional institution on official letterhead, signed, and written in English.
Official English language certificates such as TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo.
A study purpose essay outlining the applicant’s motivation and goals in English.
A research proposal in PDF format and written in English (required for doctoral programmes only).
