Switzerland Residency Program 2027 (Fully Funded)
Applications are open for the Jan Michalski Switzerland Residency Program 2027, inviting global writers to spend dedicated time on literary creation in Montricher. Selected residents receive fully funded support, including private accommodation, travel, and a weekly allowance.

Overview
The Jan Michalski Foundation Residency is an international literary program designed to support writers, translators, and creative professionals involved in the written word. Set at the foot of the Swiss Jura Mountains in Montricher, Switzerland, the residency provides an independent and peaceful environment for participants to start, continue, or complete a literary project. Selected individuals stay in private cabins overlooking Lake Geneva, the Alps, or the forested slopes of the Jura Mountains. A portion of the placements is specifically dedicated to nature writing, encompassing fiction and creative nonfiction that explore sustainability, nature, and human-environmental relationships.

Eligibility
- Open to applicants of all nationalities with no age limit
- Beginners as well as established writers are welcome
- Priority is given to writers and translators, though other disciplines are considered if literature is central to the project
- Applications may be submitted individually or as collaborative projects
- Writing in all languages is accepted
