Strategic Innovation Fund 2026: ActionAid Nigeria Offers Up to NGN 20 Million for Innovative Women’s Rights Initiatives
ActionAid Nigeria has launched the Strategic Innovation Fund 2026 under the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Project to support creative interventions advancing the rights of women and girls across Nigeria. Selected organizations may receive grants of up to NGN 20 million.

ActionAid Nigeria, supported by Global Affairs Canada through the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Project, invites expressions of interest for the Strategic Innovation Fund. The initiative seeks to back creative, strategic, and innovative interventions addressing persistent gender-related challenges in Nigeria, including violence against women and girls, economic empowerment, political participation, and the specific needs of individuals in conflict or displacement situations.
Grants of up to NGN 20,000,000 are available per selected idea, with up to five initiatives expected to receive funding in this round. Successful interventions must demonstrate scalability, measurable impact, and potential for systemic change over an implementation period ranging from six months to one year.
Eligibility
- Must be a women’s rights organization or women’s rights network.
- Must be women-led and operate within Nigeria.
- Must propose an innovative intervention that advances gender equality and justice.
- Must demonstrate organizational capacity to deliver results within the timeframe.
- Strictly prohibited from using artificial intelligence tools to draft, structure, or generate application narratives or project descriptions.

Applicants must submit a completed Strategic Innovation Fund application template along with their organizational profile. Submissions are limited to one per organization and must be sent via email to [email protected] using the subject line specified in the official guidelines.
