Eligibility
- Open to international scholars of all nationalities, provided they meet US visa requirements (note that H-1B employment visa holders are ineligible).

- Must have earned a PhD within the last three years at the start of the fellowship and have no more than two years of prior postdoctoral experience at another institution.
- Must demonstrate a strong record of scientific achievement, intellectual drive, and a commitment to a diverse community of scholars.
- Current Stanford graduate students, postdocs, or individuals holding paid or unpaid positions at Stanford during selection are ineligible.
- Prospective postdocs beginning their Stanford appointment before March 1, 2027, or applicants whose proposals focus primarily on social sciences are not eligible.
How to Apply
Candidates must submit their applications online through Academic Jobs Online (AJO). Required materials include a curriculum vitae with publication details and expected PhD date, a cover letter, three letters of recommendation, a career statement of up to two pages, and a research statement of up to two pages with an optional references page. Applicants must also identify and contact potential Stanford faculty members with whom they wish to collaborate, as at least one faculty member must agree to host the applicant before an award can be made.
