Overview
The Scientific Exchange Grants programme, managed by EMBO, facilitates international collaborations and the transfer of expertise between research groups in the life sciences. The initiative supports short-term research visits lasting from seven days to three months.

Eligibility
- Open to active researchers at any career stage with a minimum of one year of graduate-level research experience or equivalent.
- Visits must take place between eligible laboratories located in EMBC Member States and EMBC/EMBO global partner countries.
- Applicants must be employed at an eligible institute or university, or receive funding via an eligible JST programme.
- Applications involving former colleagues, supervisors, or previously visited laboratories are excluded.
- Applicants must return to their home laboratory immediately following the fellowship and remain there for at least six consecutive months.

Interested researchers should review the eligibility criteria and connect with a suitable host laboratory. Candidates need to prepare a research exchange proposal outlining their objectives, activities, and expected outcomes, and submit the form in English via the online application system at least 30 days prior to the planned start date.
