Overview
The Climate Vulnerable Forum and Vulnerable Twenty Group (CVF-V20) Secretariat offers an employment opportunity for environmental and climate professionals to serve as a Program Officer – Methane. The successful candidate will coordinate the implementation of the flagship initiative, "Pulling the Methane Emergency Brake: CVF-V20 as a Platform for Climate Prosperity, Health, and Near-Term Climate Stabilization," working within the Secretariat's Science Office.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an advanced university degree in environmental science, climate science, economics, public policy, international relations, or a related discipline.
- Possess a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in climate programme coordination, environmental policy implementation, or programme delivery.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of methane emissions, short-lived climate pollutants, air quality management, climate economics, fiscal policy, and UNFCCC processes.
- Have excellent spoken and written English communication skills; proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic is an advantage.
