The Asia Research Institute (ARI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral or Research Fellow position. Located at the Kent Ridge Campus in Singapore, the role centers on a four-year interdisciplinary research project titled "Ageing Futures and Resource Environments of Foreign-born Singapore Residents," funded by Singapore's Social Sciences Research Council.
The successful candidate will examine the intersection of ageing and migration, studying how foreign-born older adults build and access local and transnational support systems. The initial appointment is for one year with a possibility of renewal into a second year, with an expected start date between October and December 2026.

Eligibility
- Hold a PhD degree or be awaiting formal conferment of a PhD in a relevant social sciences or humanities field, such as social geography, sociology, anthropology, or migration studies.
- Demonstrate a strong research interest in ageing, migration, social networks, healthcare, eldercare, digital inclusion, or integration.
- Possess robust qualitative research skills and experience with human participants.
- Conversational proficiency in one or more project languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesian, or Vietnamese.
- Demonstrate strong academic communication, interpersonal skills, and publication potential.
