The University of Zurich (UZH), in collaboration with the University Hospital Zurich (USZ) and the AWS for Healthcare team, is offering a doctoral research opportunity in Medical Imaging AI. Suitable candidates may also have the possibility of an additional affiliation with the ETH AI Center. The research centres on bridging advanced artificial intelligence with real-world healthcare applications through vision-language modeling, image segmentation, visual grounding, clinical validation, and benchmarking.
Eligibility
- Academic background in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or closely related technical disciplines.
- An intrinsic interest in the medical domain, ideally demonstrated through prior research or a Master's thesis.
- A genuine motivation to work with the AWS ecosystem to establish and scale computational algorithms.
