Overview
The Olympic Refuge Foundation Lived Experience Fellowship Programme 2026–2027 is a part-time, remote initiative designed to ensure that individuals affected by forced migration directly influence research, policy, advocacy, and practical solutions regarding sport and displacement. Selected fellows collaborate with the Olympic Refuge Foundation Think Tank as knowledge partners, bringing their lived expertise into framing, producing, and communicating institutional work. The programme is administered by the Care and Protection of Children (CPC) Learning Network at Columbia University and runs from September 2026 to August 2027.

Eligibility
- Must have personal lived or living experience of displacement, such as forced migration, refugeehood, asylum seeking, statelessness, or internal displacement.
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- Must demonstrate a strong interest in how sport, physical activity, or movement supports people affected by crisis.
- Formal academic degrees, postgraduate qualifications, or published research are not required; relevant expertise gained through community leadership, advocacy, creative practice, or informal learning is welcomed.
- Sufficient English proficiency to complete administrative processes and participate in fellowship activities.
