The OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship Program 2027 in Switzerland is a fully funded four-week training opportunity hosted by the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner in Geneva. Established in 1997, the program aims to give indigenous participants a comprehensive understanding of the UN system and international mechanisms focusing on human rights and the rights of Indigenous Peoples. Fellows also take part in the annual session of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP). Upon completion, participants are expected to return and assist their communities in protecting and promoting their rights.
