NYC Civil Service Pathways Fellowship 2027: Launch Your Career in New York City Government
Applications are now open for the January 2027 cohort of the New York City Civil Service Pathways Fellowship, a paid, full-time professional programme connecting CUNY graduates with careers in public service.

Overview
The NYC Civil Service Pathways Fellowship (CSPF) is a paid, two-year full-time professional programme organised jointly by the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) and the City University of New York (CUNY). Designed as Cohort 10, the programme places qualified graduates into participating New York City government agencies to gain practical experience, earn a competitive salary, and receive employment benefits.
Participants can select from seven professional tracks:
- Policy and Program Analysis ($48,956)
- Procurement and Finance ($48,956)
- Project Management ($48,956)
- Customer Service and Community Engagement ($48,956)
- Creative Services and Digital Media ($48,956)
- Information Technology and Data Analysis ($53,862)
- Architecture and Engineering ($53,862)
Fellows also participate in structured professional development and become eligible to take at least one civil service examination after completing their first year.
Eligibility
- CUNY Bachelor’s Degree: Must have earned a bachelor’s degree from the City University of New York by December 2026.
- Work Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Residency: Must reside within one of New York City’s five boroughs (The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, or Staten Island).
