Nike Community Impact Fund 2026: Supporting Local Organizations That Expand Youth Access to Sport and Play
The Nike Community Impact Fund provides regional grants to local nonprofits and schools that expand youth access to sport, play, and physical activity. Applications are administered through designated regional partners with an employee-led review process.

Overview
The Nike Community Impact Fund (NCIF) strengthens community-level efforts that utilize sport and physical activity to improve the lives of children and youth. The programme focuses on communities surrounding Nike offices, logistics centres, and operational facilities, aiming to make sport and play accessible to young people facing financial, social, physical, or cultural barriers.
A distinctive feature of the initiative is its employee-led selection model. Volunteer committees composed of Nike employees review applications and recommend projects using their local knowledge.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants generally include local nonprofit organizations and schools. Because administration is handled by regional partners, legal requirements differ significantly by location:
- Pacific Northwest: Accepted organizations include 501(c)(3) public charities, federally recognized Indian Tribes under IRC Section 7871, government entities, or organizations applying through a qualified fiscal sponsor. Projects must serve specific counties in Oregon (such as Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, Yamhill, Columbia, Linn, Benton, Marion, and Polk) or Clark County in Washington.
- Belgium: Nonprofit associations, nongovernmental organizations, and clubs operating in Antwerp, Limburg, or Flemish Brabant could apply, provided projects encouraged vulnerable youth up to age 21 to move, play, or participate in sport.
- The Netherlands: Local organizations advancing youth sport in Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Hilversum, and Utrecht are supported through the King Baudouin Foundation.
- Toronto: Administered via the Jamaal Magloire Foundation for local sports initiatives.
Benefits
Grant awards vary by regional partner and are not standardized worldwide:
- Pacific Northwest: Awards ranged from $5,000 to $25,000 per organization, with at least $550,000 awarded annually in the region.
- Belgium: Selected projects could request up to €6,000 from a total available budget of €140,000.
- The Netherlands: Selected projects could receive between €5,000 and €20,000.
- Toronto: Awards ranged from $5,000 to $15,000.
