The New York Times Local Investigations Fellowship is designed for local journalists and freelance reporters who want to spend a full year pursuing an ambitious investigative reporting project. Participants receive mentorship from Dean Baquet and a team of veteran investigative editors, working under the guidance of The New York Times newsroom while remaining based in their local communities.

Eligibility
- Three to five years of professional reporting experience.
