Overview
The MOPGA Fellowship 2027 is a 12-month visiting fellowship funded by the French Government for non-French early-career postdoctoral researchers. The programme supports mobility for projects focused on climate change, environmental issues, energy transition, or One Health challenges.
Benefits
- A monthly allowance of €2,500 for the duration of 12 months.
- A one-time settling-in payment of €500 during the first month.

Eligibility
- Open exclusively to researchers of foreign nationality; French nationals cannot apply.
- Applicants must be early-career postdoctoral researchers who defended their PhD between December 2021 and December 2026 inclusive.
- Candidates must not be residing or professionally active in France at the time of application.
- Former MOPGA fellows are ineligible to apply again.
- The fellowship cannot be combined with a French employment contract or another individual French-government grant.
- Applications may be submitted in either English or French.
How to Apply
Applicants must identify a French host laboratory and secure support from a scientific supervisor before submitting their application. Candidates can use the Research in France portal and Campus France directories to find prospective hosts. Applications are processed through the official programme channel.
