The Meyer Foundation Rapid Response Grants 2026 provide flexible financial support to help organizations respond quickly to urgent and emerging challenges and opportunities. The program focuses on time-sensitive work that strengthens movements, supports community organizing, builds collective power, and advances racial and economic justice. Unlike traditional grant programs with a single annual deadline, this initiative operates on a rolling monthly schedule from February through November 2026.
Eligibility
- Must be a current Meyer Foundation core grantee partner.
- Proposed work must focus on racial justice and systems change, such as movement building, advocacy, organizing, or coalition building.
- The work must be based in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia, or have multi-jurisdictional or regional impacts.
- Applicants must be able to spend the grant within six months and provide basic budget rationale for the requested amount.
Benefits
Grants are available in three funding tiers depending on the scope and urgency of the proposed work:
- Tier 1: $10,000
- Tier 2: $20,000
- Tier 3: $50,000
Recipients also benefit from a streamlined application process and an abbreviated final reporting procedure at the end of the six-month grant period.
How to Apply
Eligible organizations can apply during the monthly application windows that open near the beginning of each month from February through November 2026. Applications remain open for approximately two weeks per monthly window, and organizations may submit one application per monthly window.
