Overview
The Lisbon AI Safety Hub (LAISH) Foundations of AI Safety Fellowship is an eight-week, in-person programme based in Lisbon, Portugal. It is designed to introduce students and working professionals to the rapidly developing field of artificial intelligence safety, helping them identify meaningful ways to contribute to the safe development and governance of advanced AI.
The curriculum covers four main areas: why AI safety matters, understanding the risks associated with advanced AI, governance and action, and identifying personal career next steps. No prior technical computer science or programming background is required to participate.
Eligibility
- Open to students and working professionals.
- No prior technical background or programming knowledge is required.
- Applicants must be able to participate in person in Lisbon, Portugal for the duration of the eight-week programme.
