The La Trobe Humanitarian Scholarship, offered by La Trobe University, is designed to support refugees and individuals seeking asylum who are undertaking face-to-face undergraduate study. Divided into distinct domestic and international streams with tailored visa requirements and application periods, the award targets eligible students enrolling in Semester 1, 2027.
Benefits
- Domestic Stream: An AUD $5,000 per annum cost-of-living scholarship provided for the normal duration of the degree.
- International Stream: Covers 100% of tuition fees alongside an AUD $5,000 per annum cost-of-living payment for the normal duration of the degree.
Eligibility
- Must be recognized as a person seeking asylum or a refugee holding an eligible visa, such as a Resolution of Status (RoS) visa (subclass 851), Permanent Protection/Humanitarian visas (200, 201, 202, 203, 204), or specified temporary and bridging visas depending on the stream.
- Must successfully receive a course offer and enrol as a full-time student in an undergraduate degree directly offered by La Trobe University for Semester 1, 2027.
- Students enrolled through Open Universities Australia, third-party providers, or online courses are ineligible.
