KAIST Graduate Scholarship 2027 in South Korea (Funded)
International students can now apply for the fully funded KAIST Graduate Scholarship 2027 in South Korea. The program supports Master’s, integrated Master’s-PhD, and PhD studies.

Overview
The KAIST Graduate Scholarship 2027 invites international students from all countries to pursue Master's, Master's leading to PhD, or PhD programs at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in South Korea. Studies begin on March 1st, 2027.
Benefits
- KAIST University Scholarship: Full tuition fee exemption (4 semesters for Master's, 10 for integrated, 8 for PhD), monthly stipend for living expenses and accommodation, and National Health Insurance premium coverage.
- KAIST Global Presidential Scholarship (KGPS): Full tuition grant for 4 semesters and a monthly stipend guarantee of KRW 1,000,000 for 4 semesters.
- KAIST Prestige Scholarship for International Ph.D. Students (KPS): Full tuition grant for 8 semesters and a monthly stipend guarantee of KRW 300,000.
- KAIST CoE PhD Fellowship: Full tuition grant for 4 academic years and a monthly stipend guarantee of 2,500,000 KRW.
- GKS Scholarship: Full tuition fee, monthly stipend, accommodation, airfare tickets, insurance, and books.
Eligibility
- Open exclusively to international students who do not hold Korean citizenship.
- Applicants for the Master's program must present a bachelor’s degree (final-year students expecting to graduate before enrollment may also apply).
- Applicants for the PhD program must present proof of a Master’s degree.
- English language proficiency is required (minimum scores: TOEFL iBT 83, IELTS 6.5, TOEIC 720, or TEPS 326), unless an eligible English proficiency waiver applies based on nationality or prior education in specified countries.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must complete the online application form and submit all supporting documentation in either Korean or English. Required documents typically include copies of national ID cards, family registration certificates, degree or expected graduation certificates, an English proficiency report, two recommendation letters, and optional honors, awards, or employment proofs.
