The INTERPOL Enhanced Secondment Programme is an international professional opportunity designed to strengthen global law enforcement cooperation. The programme brings qualified police officers, law enforcement specialists, and government officials from INTERPOL Member Countries into its international operational environment to contribute expertise against transnational crime.
The opportunity features a secondment duration of 36 months across multiple duty stations, associated with Grade 5 positions. The objective is to create a secure, dynamic pool of vetted specialists who can be deployed or assigned according to operational needs.
Eligibility
- Active and serving police officers whose experience corresponds to INTERPOL operational needs.
- Law enforcement officers from national agencies such as customs, border control, and anti-corruption units.
- Civil servants working in law enforcement or government administrations whose responsibilities connect directly to law enforcement functions.
- Candidates with three to four years of university-level study in law, public policy, police management, or equivalent police academy qualifications (or alternatively, 10 years of relevant professional experience).
- Professionals with at least three years of hands-on experience in police operations or criminal investigations, with specialization in transnational crime areas.
- Professional fluency in English (written and oral), with additional languages like French, Spanish, or Arabic considered an asset.
