International Pursuit Award for PhD Students and Recent Doctoral Graduates 2026
Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is accepting applications for its 16th annual Pursuit Awards to honor outstanding global childhood disability research. The top three researchers will receive cash prizes ranging from $1,000 CAD to $3,000 CAD.

Overview
The International Pursuit Awards, organized by the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, celebrate global doctoral students and recent graduates who make exceptional contributions to childhood disability research. The program focuses on work that supports personalized lives for individuals with childhood-onset disabilities, acquired injuries, developmental differences, and their families. Finalists will be evaluated on academic excellence, research potential, knowledge translation, and research productivity, and will be expected to present at the Bloorview Research Institute (BRI) Symposium.

Eligibility
- Current PhD students less than six months away from their defense with a research focus on pediatric disability.
- Postdoctoral trainees within one year of receiving their PhD whose research centers on pediatric disability.
- Recent graduates within one year of receiving their PhD whose research centers on pediatric disability.
