Overview
The International Detention Coalition (IDC) is seeking a remote Europe Programme Officer for the Balkans region. This full-time role focuses on migration, human rights, advocacy, research, communications, stakeholder engagement, and regional programming across the Western Balkans and wider Europe. The initial contract is for one year, with a possibility of extension dependent on funding, and offers an annual salary ranging from EUR 30,000 to EUR 40,000 depending on location and experience.
Eligibility
- Must possess the legal right to reside and work in one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Serbia (no work permit sponsorship or relocation support is provided).
- Hold a university degree in a relevant discipline such as international relations, law, migration studies, political science, or social sciences.
- Demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, migration, human rights, or related fields.
- Exhibit strong English language proficiency (written and spoken) and the ability to work independently in a remote-first setting.
