Eligibility

- Requires a first-class undergraduate degree, a first-class integrated Master’s degree, or a distinction in a standalone Master’s qualification (special departmental cases may be considered).
- Candidates must have contacted a prospective academic supervisor at Imperial College London who has agreed to supervise their proposed research project.
How to Apply
There is no separate scholarship application form. Instead, candidates must apply for admission to an eligible PhD programme through the Imperial College London online postgraduate admissions system. Applicants must make prior contact with a potential supervisor and select the President’s PhD Scholarship option under the funding section of the online application form.
Deadline
The scholarship considers applications across three distinct application rounds for the 2027–28 academic year:
- First Round: 2 November 2026 at 23:59 UK time (Notification by 31 January 2027)
- Second Round: 11 January 2027 at 23:59 UK time (Notification by 15 April 2027)
- Third Round: 1 March 2027 at 23:59 UK time (Notification by 31 May 2027)
