IMETE 2026–2028 Applications Open: 6 Partial Scholarships for the International Master in Environmental Technology and Engineering
Applications are open for the International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering 2026–2028 intake, offering six partial scholarships that reduce tuition to €3,000 for the two-year programme. Students study across the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

Overview
The International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering (IMETE) is a two-year multidisciplinary master's programme encompassing 120 ECTS credits. The curriculum focuses on water treatment, wastewater treatment and reuse, desalination, and sustainable engineering across leading European institutions.
Students participate in an international mobility model involving the following locations:
- Semester 1: University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, Czech Republic
- Semester 2: IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, Delft, the Netherlands
- Summer: Practical internship placements
- Semester 3: Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium
- Semester 4: Master's dissertation at a consortium partner or associated institution
Eligibility
Applicants must meet specific academic and language standards:
- Academic Degree: A first higher-education degree equivalent to a Bachelor of Science (approx. 180 ECTS). Candidates completing at least 120 ECTS may apply conditionally.
- Academic Performance: A good academic record equivalent to a U.S. GPA of B/B+ or a UK upper-second-class equivalent.
- Academic Background: Pure or applied sciences such as chemistry, biology, geology, civil engineering, agricultural engineering, or environmental sciences.
- Scientific Preparation: Adequate knowledge of mathematics, physics, and chemistry (basic biology recommended).
- English Language: Submission of an internationally recognized English-language test result, unless officially exempt.
For the 2026–2028 intake, applicants must either not require a European visa or be capable of obtaining the necessary visa quickly enough to begin the first semester in Prague on time.
