Overview
The ICCROM Fellowship Programme 2027 offers experienced cultural heritage professionals an opportunity to conduct independent research and study with the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM). Designed for senior professionals, the programme provides dedicated time to pursue research, exchange knowledge with an international community, access specialist collections, and contribute new perspectives to heritage conservation.
Fellowships typically last between 3 and 6 months and are normally undertaken at ICCROM headquarters in Rome, Italy, though partial online participation may be considered with proper justification. While ICCROM offers substantial institutional support, the fellowship does not currently include a financial stipend, travel allowance, or living support due to budgetary constraints.

Eligibility
- Must be a national of an ICCROM Member State or work in an organization located within an ICCROM Member State.
- Must hold at least a Master’s degree or higher in a field related to cultural heritage.
- Must have at least 10 years of professional experience in the cultural heritage field.
- Must have good working knowledge of at least one of ICCROM’s official languages (English or French).
- Must secure personal travel, accommodation, and mandatory medical and accident insurance.
