Overview
The Ibrahim Scholarship 2027 is a leadership fellowship financed by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and hosted at the African Development Bank (AfDB) headquarters in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The programme aims to elevate professional capacity and support governance and development by placing an exceptional African professional within the Bank for a term of up to twelve months.

Eligibility
- Must be a national of an African country, residing anywhere globally.
- Must not be an active, retired, or separated staff member of the Bank, nor share close family relations with current or former staff.
- Government officials, active military personnel, and political party leaders are ineligible.
- Age limits apply: up to forty years old for men and women, and up to forty-five years old for women with children.
- Must hold at least a Master’s degree from a recognized institution in relevant fields such as economics, finance, business, banking, social sciences, or international development.
- Must possess a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience, demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, project management, and strong communication skills.
