The Institute for AI Policy and Strategy AI Policy Fellowship Spring 2027 is a fully funded, three-month professional programme designed for individuals seeking practical careers in artificial intelligence policy, governance, and strategy. Participants work directly on live AI policy projects, receive individual mentorship from experienced policy specialists, and develop skills to address risks and opportunities associated with advanced AI systems.
The programme runs from February 22 to May 14, 2027. It includes a mandatory opening residency in Washington, D.C., from February 22 to March 5, 2027, for all participants. Available tracks include a Research Track and an Applied Track, with options to participate from Washington, D.C., London, or remotely.

Eligibility

- London track participants must have appropriate existing permission to work in the United Kingdom.
- Remote participants must reside in countries where IAPS can legally engage them, subject to country-specific administrative requirements.

Candidates should complete the application through the official GuidedTrack platform. The application takes approximately 45 minutes and consists of five sections: About You, Your Experience, Your Motivation, Communicating With Stakeholders, and Timed Reasoning.
