IACHR Internship Program 2027: Apply for the Winter/Spring Human Rights Internship in Washington, D.C. and National Offices
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights Internship Program 2027 offers students and recent graduates from OAS Member States practical professional experience in international human rights and related fields. Selected participants will join the upcoming winter/spring session running from January to April 2027.

Overview
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) Internship Program offers students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience within a major regional human rights institution. Operating in conjunction with the Organization of American States (OAS) Internship Program, participants work alongside professionals and staff within the IACHR Executive Secretariat in Washington, D.C. and national offices.
The upcoming 2027 Winter/Spring Session runs from January 14, 2027, to April 30, 2027. Please note that this program is completely unpaid and does not provide a salary, stipend, or financial assistance for travel, living, or accommodation expenses.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the program:
- Must be current students or recent graduates from OAS Member States.
- Open to multiple academic and professional backgrounds, including law, international cooperation, fundraising, journalism, graphic design, web design, computer information technology, and translation.
- Translation applicants must be capable of working in at least two of the four official languages of the OAS: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
- Participants fulfilling a university internship requirement must provide official university documentation confirming the required duration.
