Eligibility
- Be aged 45 or younger.
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited PhD program at an African higher-education institution.

- Submit a research proposal directly relevant to violence in Africa, covering fields such as war, crime, terrorism, family and intimate-partner violence, climate instability, resource competition, racial, ethnic and religious conflict, or political extremism and nationalism.

Candidates must prepare the required application documents, which include a 10 to 15-page research proposal, an updated CV, academic transcripts, academic and professional references, and evidence of PhD enrollment.
