Overview
The GW4 BioMed Scholarship supports PhD studentships through the GW4 BioMed3 Doctoral Landscape Programme, a collaborative partnership between the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, and Exeter. The programme offers studentships with a start date of October 2027, featuring projects aligned to key research themes such as Infection, Immunity and Antimicrobial Resistance, Neuroscience and Mental Health, and Population Health Sciences.

Eligibility
- Open to both UK and international applicants.
- Candidates must hold or expect to obtain a first or upper second-class UK honours degree, or an equivalent international qualification, in medical sciences, computing, mathematics, or physical sciences. Lower second-class degree holders will only be considered if they also possess a master's degree.
- Non-native English speakers must meet the host university's language requirements (e.g., at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent for the University of Exeter).
- International candidates must personally cover visa, healthcare surcharge, and relocation costs.
How to Apply
Applicants may select up to a maximum of two projects and submit only one application per candidate. The application process requires completing the online application form for an offer of funding. Successful candidates will subsequently need to apply for an 'offer to study' at their chosen host institution.
