Overview
The GovTech AI Bootcamp is a fully funded five-day technical program held in Seoul, designed for government institutions from low- and middle-income countries. Selected teams learn directly from Korean practitioners and World Bank experts on how to design, pilot, and scale artificial intelligence solutions for public administration, transparency, service delivery, and citizen engagement. The program features site visits, hands-on workshops, and roadmap development, and is jointly organized by the World Bank, the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS), and the National Information Society Agency (NIA).

Eligibility
- Open strictly to government institutions situated in low- and middle-income countries as defined by the World Bank.
- The applying agency must actively develop, pilot, or deploy a public sector AI tool.
- Each team must consist of two nominees: a policy leader holding decision-making power and a technical practitioner.
- Proposals can range from concept to deployment stages and require at least one supporting document showing institutional backing.
How to Apply
Interested government teams must submit their application online through the official submission platform. Proposals should outline the target public sector challenge, technical and data readiness, risk management, and learning objectives, while attaching mandatory supporting institutional documentation.
