Overview

The Global Mental Health Fellowship Program 2026 (Cohort 5) is an international virtual fellowship designed to create a space where young people can explore mental health, share perspectives, build practical skills, connect across communities and cultures, and translate their learning into meaningful action. Operating under the theme “Strengthening Mental Health Through Lived Experiences,” the programme recognizes that an individual's understanding of mental health is shaped by their environment, community, relationships, and observations.

The initiative is conducted 100% virtually, allowing participants to engage globally without geographical or travel barriers while balancing other academic, professional, or personal commitments.

Eligibility

  • Be between 20 and 25 years old.
  • Demonstrate an interest in mental health and related conversations.
  • Show curiosity, a willingness to learn, and an interest in developing practical skills.
  • Be willing to engage with different perspectives and connect with peers across various communities and cultures.
  • Have an interest in translating learning into meaningful action.

Previous professional experience in mental health, psychology, counselling, or public health is not required. Additionally, applicants are not required to disclose traumatic, sensitive, or deeply personal experiences.
