Global EbA Fund Grants 2026: Up to $500,000 for Ecosystem-Based Adaptation Projects in Developing Countries
The Global EbA Fund Grants 2026 provide funding and support for organisations working to advance Ecosystem-based Adaptation in vulnerable developing countries.

Overview
The Global EbA Fund Grants 2026 invite innovative and catalytic proposals designed to overcome systemic barriers that prevent Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) from being adopted, scaled, and mainstreamed. The programme places particular emphasis on Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Two primary funding tracks are available:
- Small-Size Grants: Up to US$250,000 for projects lasting between 18 and 24 months.
- Medium-Size Grants: Up to US$500,000 for collaborative initiatives focusing on strategic scaling and global influence, running for up to 24 months.
Eligibility
The Fund is structured primarily for legally recognised organisations rather than individual applicants. Eligible entities include:
- Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and international non-governmental organisations (INGOs)
- Intergovernmental organisations (IGOs) and community-based organisations (CBOs)
- Indigenous Peoples’ Organisations
- Universities, academic institutions, research institutes, and think tanks
- Private-sector companies (subject to specific conditions)
- Consortia of collaborating organisations
Government entities may participate exclusively as part of consortia provided they do not receive direct funding from the Global EbA Fund. Furthermore, project proposals must build upon existing work, incorporate local partnerships, meet due-diligence criteria, and target ODA-eligible countries.
How to Apply
Applicants must prepare their documentation offline before submitting through the official online platform. Required application materials typically include an application form, project proposal, budget template, applicant declaration, co-applicant mandate, and a due-diligence questionnaire. Prospective applicants should thoroughly review the Grants Procedure Manual and official call documents prior to submission.
Deadline
Application windows vary by grant track:
- Small-Size Grants: Submissions are accepted from 28 September through 26 October 2026.
- Medium-Size Grants: Submissions are accepted from 12 October through 16 November 2026.
