Fung Global Fellows Program 2027–28 at Princeton University
The Fung Global Fellows Program at Princeton University brings international early-career scholars to the United States for a fully funded academic year of research and collaboration centered on the theme 'Democracy in Crisis?'.

Overview
Administered by the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS), the Fung Global Fellows Program invites exceptional international scholars to spend an academic year in residence at Princeton University. Selected fellows participate in research, writing, intellectual exchanges, seminars, and public presentations connected to a shared annual theme. For the 2027–28 academic year, the program focuses on the theme “Democracy in Crisis?”, examining contemporary challenges, democratic vulnerability, and institutional resilience across the humanities and social sciences.
Fellows receive a formal appointment as a Visiting Research Scholar for approximately 10 months. Rather than a conventional fellowship stipend, participants receive a salary and access to university benefits and health insurance. Visa support and fee reimbursement are provided for fellows and their dependents through Princeton's Davis International Center.
