FREE UNICEF Gender-Responsive Social Protection E-Course: Self-Paced Training for Practitioners and Development Professionals
UNICEF offers a self-paced online course on Gender-Responsive Social Protection to help professionals understand how gender shapes access to opportunity, security, services, and well-being.

Overview
The UNICEF Gender-Responsive Social Protection e-course is a self-paced online training designed to help practitioners, development professionals, and government partners understand how gender shapes access to opportunity, security, services, and well-being throughout a person’s life. The course introduces the core principles and practical applications of Gender-Responsive Social Protection (GRSP), examining how social protection policies and programmes can be designed, delivered, monitored, and improved to respond to gender-related risks and prevent exclusion.
Following a story-based learning approach centred around an adolescent girl named Mia, the course explores how household expectations, safety concerns, documentation requirements, and mobility influence whether individuals receive adequate support. The curriculum consists of five modules covering foundational concepts, programme design, delivery systems, monitoring and evaluation, and policy advocacy.
