The Faculty for the Future Fellowships 2027–2028 program is designed for women from developing countries and emerging economies who are preparing for doctoral or post-doctoral research careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Eligibility
To qualify for the fellowship, candidates must meet several key requirements:
- Be a female citizen of an eligible developing country or emerging economy where women are underrepresented in STEM disciplines. Dual citizens with one citizenship from a developed country are ineligible.
- Be preparing for either a PhD degree or post-doctoral research in a STEM field (Master's-level studies are not funded).
- Have already applied to, been admitted to, or enrolled at a host university or research institution abroad.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record and teaching experience.
- Commit to returning to the home country or region after studies to contribute to socio-economic development through academia, research, STEM entrepreneurship, or public-sector policy.
- Show evidence of leadership, community outreach, and a commitment to inspiring women and girls to enter STEM fields.
