European Youth Foundation Grants 2027: Council of Europe Opens €850,000 Funding Call for International Youth Projects
The European Youth Foundation has opened two funding calls totalling €850,000 to support international youth cooperation activities and long-term projects starting in 2027. Eligible youth-led organisations can apply for grants ranging from up to €25,000 for one-off activities to up to €60,000 for long-term projects.

Overview
The European Youth Foundation (EYF) of the Council of Europe has launched two major calls for proposals for 2027: international one-off youth cooperation activities and international long-term youth cooperation projects. Through an indicative budget of €850,000, the Foundation aims to support approximately 20 youth initiatives addressing key themes such as democracy, human rights, inclusion, peacebuilding, and youth participation.
The two available funding streams consist of:
- International One-Off Youth Cooperation Activities (Call 2027.C5.A): Offers grants of up to €25,000 for focused international youth meetings taking place between 1 January and 31 December 2027.
- International Long-Term Youth Cooperation Projects (Call 2027.C6.B): Offers grants of up to €60,000 for strategic, multi-activity projects lasting up to 18 months, starting between 1 January and 31 March 2027.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet rigorous organisational and operational standards before submitting a proposal:
- Applicant Status: Must be youth-led, non-governmental, non-profit organisations legally established in one of the 46 Council of Europe member states.
- Call-Specific Rules: One-off activities are open to international, sub-regional, and qualifying national youth NGOs or networks. Long-term projects are restricted strictly to international youth NGOs and international youth NGO networks.
- Registration: Organisations must be registered and validated in the European Youth Foundation's online system prior to applying. Registration can take up to two weeks.
- Participant Criteria: Activities must involve participants residing in at least seven Council of Europe member states, with at least 75% of participants aged 30 or younger.

- Submit the application digitally through the online grant-management platform before the deadline.

The official application deadline for both calls is 1 October 2026 at 23:59 CET (applicants are strongly advised to target the safer 23:59 CEST cutoff).
